Mood of Nature
Mood of Nature is a sub-business name of Mood of Finland company.
We develop and produce nature experiences in Finland and Spain, responsibly and together with partner entrepreneurs.
We work for a better future
We develop nature tourism services in accordance with regenerative thinking so that we create well-being for individuals, communities and nature. In regenerative thinking, Mood of Finland company is mentored by Carlos Briceño and Martín Araneda and we learn together in a Chilean-based community (Turismo Regenerativo, Chile).
Now, as a continuation of the Love Forest Finland concept, the ideation and development of a small house for nature hikers in cooperation with a rural village community is under development. The house belonged to the great-grandparents of the owner of Mood of Finland company and has been owned by outsiders for the last 40 years. Anu bought the house in the fall of 2024, and it is being renovated. In the spring of 2025 we invite everyone who is willing to come up with ideas and we will publish more information about the use of the house by the summer of 2025.
We invite you to join us in creating stories
We have piloted a service where we take the visitors to a short trip in the forest, plant trees, stop at a campfire to eat snacks, observe and discuss about the nature around us and learn how we can increase the well-being of nature. We invite the visitors to get to know Finnish rural life in the courtyard of the house and the warmth of the hut.
Mood of Nature services are mainly linked to the Love Forest Finland concept:
- In the Love Forest Finland concept, a symbolic tree is planted as a symbol of love and caring. You can plant a tree in any place subject to a permit (your own yard, forest) or participate in joint planting events.
- The tree’s information and story are recorded in a certificate, which is printed in Finnish Lapland on beautiful, handmade paper (Paperivalo).
- For each certificate, €10 is paid to the Natural Heritage Foundation for the protection of old-growth forests, and the location of the Love trees is marked on the community map. The Forest of Love grows where the trees grow, without borders, globally.
- Internationally, the concept has received some attention. In addition to the fact that trees have been planted in different parts of Finland (from the south to the Arctic Circle), trees have also been planted in Spain, Brazil, Slovenia and Iceland (situation 11/2024)
- The most important thing in the concept is the restoration and preservation of natural diversity. A tree of love is not just any planted tree because it symbolizes caring and love for a chosen person or object and the tree has a story.
